DIY Terrarium

Terrarium has been all the rage recently, I think it is something new to bring into your home and can benefit you while looking aesthetically pleasing. Also this can make a lovely little last minute gift for the holiday season!

Materials:
Potting Soil
Succulent
Rocks
Gravel
Jars
*Ornaments

*Ornaments are optional, all depends on how you would like to customize your Terrarium.

Directions
1. Start by placing in the rocks, the rocks are used as drainage for the your succulent
2. Place in the potting soil make room for your succulent in the middle
3. Place your succulent in the potting soil, arrange how you please
4. Add a little gravel the top of the  potting soil surrounding the succulent
5. Add in your ornaments and add ons, it is READY TO GO!

Make sure to water the succulent every week once a week, and once it starts to grow out of its jar depot it and place it into a bigger home.

Spring in the City

It seemed like everyone in Manhattan made their way to Central Park yesterday. Who can blame us? it was gorgeous out! Yes it was packed like time square year round, however if you walked further into the park away from central park south, it instantly became calmer (very little crying babes).

I finally broke out Alexa Chung's It book after a year of just using it as a prop. It is incredibly relatable for those who grew up in the 90's, I feel like I'm listening to an older sister- an older sister I wouldn't fight with in an imaginary world. Would highly recommend, for those who is as obsessed with Alexa Chung as I am. Can probably be found discounted at UO.

At the end of the day being the hooligan that I am, I ended up with dry leaves in my hair after rolling around in the grass. It is not a good look, stick with flower crowns. Hopefully this spring like weather keeps up.

Rebecca Minkoff Spring Fashion Event X College Fashionista

I had the very fortunate event of having my last class cancelled yesterday and was able to have a little soho adventure that afternoon with two of my lovely friends. I mean how could I not go out when it was ridiculously nice out; 66 DEGREES IN EARLY MARCH! IN NEW YORK! Seriously it was a true blessing and having to stumble upon the Rebecca Minkoff Spring Fashion Event hosted by College Fashionista at her Flagship store was prime as well. She is having a promotion going on, her WIN- WIN Event (in-stores and online) don't know how long it is going last but you get an extra 15% off signing up on the website so y'all should get on it.
Minkoff's spring collection showcased simple elegant silhouettes in pastel colors and white with clean cut floral embroidery in both her handbag line and her clothing line.  It seems the new trend is periwinkle and the color pastel blue, probably since Cinderella the movie is coming out on March 13th. Which not going to lie am very tempted to see just so I can watch Frozen Fever short film animation. I believe it will be worth it.
To make it an even better evening getting Morgenstern's ice cream was the cherry on top after the event. Must try the sorbets they are truly divine and the Vanilla burnt honey is just incredible!

Galentines Day

A little night out with girls always wins over a boy.  Father John Misty concert and Artichokes pizza is the perfect combination for Galentine's Day. Unfortunately our attempt to get in DL failed as we are not 21, but we sure worked the corner to grab a taxi back home. All dressed up and no where to go. Hope everyone is keeping warm on this President's day weekend!

Ribbon Tie DIY

Have an extra ribbon lying around from holiday season? Be a little creative and use it as a tie to jazz up your outfit. Perfect for up coming dates *cough cough* *nudge nudge* Valentine's day! And well the up coming  spring season. A little something to brighten up your cold winter and uniform wardrobe. Adds a bit of classic touch to your day to day blouse and would even look charming with a chambray shirt and a little lace trim. Experiment a little with different colors, have fun and enjoy!

Central Park Strolling

Just grab a coat and lets go.
I don't mind the frigid weather here on the east coast because its actually quite simple to look dressed up with just the addition of a coat.  A coat is definitely a staple for winter. I mean its the thing that keeps you warm when you're out right?. You can dress it up in dark denim, chelsea boots and a nice blouse or even dress it down with just a worn pair of jeans, comfy sweater and and some nice tennis shoes. All and all coats are essential, find one that fits you and cherish it with care and love. Speaking of love Valentine's day post will be up soon!

Navy Blue Pea Coats and Chelsea Boots covered in Slush

After three classes  today a cup of tea and good book is all I need. My text book for my Communication and Popular Culture is my newest accessory that I don't mind showing off because I am glad I am taking interest in my classes. To drown my self in a text so intoxicating that I can't let it go and finding your voice through it. Isn't that what college is about?, making yourself known to the world?  Taking classes that you're interested and not quite knowing you're major is. I've been listening to my floor mates complain about all of the boring classes they are taking... and I'm just thinking "why are you taking these classes if they are so dreadful it is your money that you're wasting and your future.." Please if you're in this situation be honest with yourself and get yourself out of that class there is no time to waste!!!
